Here you will also find the yearly (financial) reviews and plans of the networkAdditionally, it will include documents, articles and other tips related to working with an (occupational) disability or a (mental) vulnerability. Through the eyes of Kees

HU colleague Kees has a visual impairment with only 3% vision, however Kees proves that a positive outlook can bring about change. In ‘Through the Eyes of Kees’ (Door de ogen van Kees), Kees opens the conversation about accessibility and inclusion. How can we make the world more accessible for everyone? This documentary is an ode to Kees and to all people who, despite obstacles, fill their lives with love, hope and meaning.

Thematic meeting autism

On Thursday, April 7, 2022, there was a theme meeting ‘working with autism’. Manna Alma (UMC Groningen) shared research results and took us through what this means for practice: how can we help people with autism to participate better, more, more easily, and longer in the labor market? Chris Brouwer talked about the online guide WerkWeb-Autisme. In addition, four colleagues with experiential knowledge shared their work experiences within the Utrecht Science Park. Thematic meeting ‘psyche and the workplace’

On November 8, 2022, the Network USP Inclusive organized a theme meeting about psyche and the workplace. Jim van Os (Professor of Psychiatry and chairman of the Brain Division UMC Utrecht) and Joep Binkhorst (researcher lectureships PZO and OWW from the knowledge center Social Innovation, Hogeschool Utrecht) took over 100 interested parties on a journey towards an inclusive, diagnosis-free approach at the workplace. The interactive theme meeting resulted in an inspiration document which you can view or download below.
